Fête De La Musique's 25th Edition in the Philippines



Fête De La Musique is also known Music Day, Make Music Day or World Music Day. An annual music festivity that is celebrated on the 21st of June, which started in France in 1982 and is now celebrated in over 700 cities and 120 countries. On this day, everyone is encouraged to play music in various public spaces, the main condition being that these concerts – however big or small – are completely free and open to the public.

This yeah Fête De La Musique celebrates its 25th year anniversary, with a record breaking 52 pocket stages!

We take a look at the pocket stages for Techno, House and Electronic music.

 

Dancatronic Stage

Footprints supported by Heineken, are launching one of the first parties to be held at Makati's newest underground nightclub The Void, devoted to non-commercial electronic music. With DJs sets by a few of Fête De La Musique regular house and techno players Gabby Z, The Herbman, Marts Ballesca, Rasputin. Address: 8456 Doña Carmen St cor. Kalayaan Avenue Makati City


 

Electronica Stage

The Electronica Stage co-presented and powered by San Miguel light and Globe Telecom, has been one of the highlights of underground electronic music during Fête De La Musique for more than a decade. This year it will take place at one of Manila's remaining nightclubs dedicated to electronic music, XXXX. Along with their resident DJs Bins and Ayon, they have Mica, Alinep and Arlyn Munoz, Raphael Carbonell and Miguel Santiago, Tomas, who are all scheduled to DJ back-to-back.

Groove Stage

Groove Manila has a love for house to electro to funk and soul and are hosting their first Fête De La Musique stage this year powered by San Miguel Pale Pilsen. With their signature DJs Manolet Dario, Jason Soong, Bombi Balquiedra, Marie Garcia and Coox Moreno, playing at a New York inspired, three layer bar, Nokal.

House and Techno Stage

From 5pm-5am, Topic, Makati's hottest rooftop bar will be introducing a wide variety of artists from all width of the spectrum, including some of Manila's Electronic Dance, Trance and Techno stars Arra Pascual, Dues, Nicky Jurado, Tellus & Omi and Shoyd.

Limbo Stage

From live electronic sets and DJ sets, Limbo will be diving into a vary of ambient, looming to aggressive and jarring performances by some of the more obscure sounding DJs Auspicious Family, Bruder, Cosmopolitan Smoke Stabs, Gen Thalz, Maggot, Tin Titus.

Misc Stage

Futur:st, the younger sister of Today X Future, one of the newest hip bars in Makati is hosting the Misc Stage powered by San Miguel Super Dry, where absolutely anything goes! With their very own Samantha Nicole gracing the decks with other DJs like Cecile Zamora, Emel Rowe, Kill Your Boyfriend and ManilaAnimal.

Nu-Disco/ Indie Electro Stage

Run Rabbit Run, will be homage to the modern day disco lovers, with the very first Nu-Disco/Indie-Electro Stage with Abdel Aziz, DJ Euric, Javi, Vapors, Nomoclassiq and more.

Vinyl Stage

The Green Door at The Apartment, will be host to Fête's very first Vinyl Stage supported by . With top selectors from the metro such as; James McCranie, Lopie "DJ Ouch" Guzman, Matthew Carbonell, WilkXX, playing their vinyl collection from jazz, pop, 80s, rock, new wave, and more music genres.
