It was an intense weekend in Singapore with the Semi-Finals of Mix Us Happy 2018 being held at Ice Cold Beer. Now in it's 4th year, Mix Us Happy has now spread to 4 countries, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Nepal.
Over the course of 2 days, 20 contestants battled it out showcasing what they've learned in the past 3 months. With technical skill, creativity and showmanship as the judging criteria, contestants played extremely creative sets of varying genres showing what they could do on Pioneer DJ's newest entry level controller, the DDJ-400.
Something new this year is it's partnership with Robe Lighting Asia Pacific to showcase Rekordbox's lighting function.
The Regional Account Manager for Robe Lighting Asia Pacific, Vijay, had this to say.
"As the preferred partner of Pioneer DJ for Rekordbox, we are glad to be part of Mix Us Happy this year to help enhance the sets the contestants played during the competition. Using our Halos and CycBar 12 Lighting Fixtures, we were able to synchronise the lights to the music to create a beautiful harmony of light and sound."
The results of the Semi-Finals will be released this weekend with the finals being held on December 15th at AJ Hackett Sentosa.
