La Playa is a beach-front music dance programme which aims to evoke your senses by showcasing a series of renowned local, regional and International DJs on its humble shores. Think sun, sand, sea and music! At La Playa, we want to bring together an immersive experience for consumers to enjoy unadulterated access to music & dance while taking away a slice of Mediterranean beach music vibes.
The first edition of La Playa will be headlined by world-famous DJ duo Aly & Fila.
As #1 DJ & Producer in the 2016 Trance Podium Awards and DJ Mag’s #24 top DJs in 2014, the Egyptian trance music duo as hot as the Sahara and as tall as the Pyramids, will be playing on Saturday, 26th October 2019. You might have seen them before, but get ready for a one of a kind beach music festival on the FOC shores.
For close to a decade, Aly & Fila’s spirited take on the trance sound has captured the hearts, minds and imaginations of Planet Trance. With their whip-smart productions and sandstorm sonics, their performances gave raised the bar at some of the world’s most recognized clubs. Comparably they’ve also ruled at EDM’s biggest festivals – EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland, Global Gathering, Dance Valley, Stereosonic and WMC. They have spent a good portion of their career playing the world’s most established and respected stages and decks.
In 2014, Aly & Fila achieved musical success when they released their third artist album titled, “The Other Shore” with three singles off the album. Around the same time, they also released a remixed album of their artist album known as, “Quiet Storm”. That year, they saw the milestone of Aly & Fila reaching 350 episodes of their weekly radio show, Future Sound of Egypt.
Adding on to their accolades, Aly & Fila were also voted No.1 in the Trance Podium Top 100 DJ Poll, No.1 in the Middle Eastern Music Awards, nominated for the Best Trance DJ Category in the Ibiza DJ Awards and voted fifth best in the magnetic magazine top 100 DJ Poll.
Dutch DJ and producer, Jochen Miller will be opening for Aly & Fila. Jochen dabbles in the tech, trance and progressive landscapes and has played at reputable festivals around the world such as, Ultra, Tomorrowland and Electric Daisy Carnival. Having since earned International acclaim, he will be bringing his highly charged original productions and remixes to kick off La Playa’s first edition.
This event is in partnership with AOS Collective and will be supported by local and regional DJs.
