By now the house and techno lovers of South East Asia should have heard about Epizode Festival, situated on Vietnam's Phu Quoc Island is back from 27 December 2019 to 7 January 2020.
This idyllic setting boasts green-blue tropical seas, epic sunsets and white sand beaches, where every December their phenomenal lineup sees the likes of the worlds masters and pioneers in house, minimal and techno come together for an epic week-long soundtrack.
'In 2019, attendance rates doubled from previous years, with more than 10,000 people from 79 countries. In only three years, EPIZODE is already recognized as one of the most iconic electronic music festivals in Asia.'
The second line-up announcement includes even more of the world’s greatest musicians and selectors, including Behrouz, Ben UFO, Carl Craig, Christian Loffler, Egyptian Lover, Jamie Jones, Kiasmos (DJ set), Luciano, Moodymann, Nastia, Petre Inspirescu, Raresh, Red Axes, Rhadoo, Richy Ahmed, Satori and Sonja Moonear.
Aside from the above names, the festival will draw on further local and international talents such as Alci, Anna Nova, Bnh, Cabanne, Chaim, Cinthie, Denis Kaznacheev, DeWalta & Shannon, Digby, DJ Masda, Djebali, Edward, EllI, Fideles, Given, Janeret, Jenia Tarsol, Konstantin, Konstantin Sibold, Leafar Legov, Map.ache, Matias Aguayo, Molly, O.Bee, Panthera Krause, Patrick Topping, Phoung Dan, Ranishe Niyaak, S.A.M, Trikk, Varhat, Vera, Vlada, youANDme and Zendid.
The aforementioned names join an already stacked bill of local and international talent including Ricardo Villalobos, Apollonia, Craig Richards, DOTT, Lehar, Loco Dice, Mashokov, Nicolas Lutz, Ouissam, Sofia Rodina, Sunju Hargun, wAFF and William Djoko.
The festivals art-program with its iconic installations over the years is still a priority, with a full list of artists and key projects to be announced soon. The new site will have a chill-out and daily activities zones, a food-court and market place as well as a comfortable leisure area with yoga and sports, group meditation classes and healing sound sessions that will bring the mind and the body to balance.
And with the eco-awareness rising around the world to make our planet sustainable and away from harm, their green credentials introduce new eco-initiative that will substitute plastic straws with organic ones made in Vietnam, introduce a cup-sharing system, reusable pocket ashtrays and a focus on educate the team, local partners and the audience about the responsibility that one can take to prevent the collapse of the eco-system. through a series of advisory meetings, lectures, cleaning actions on the beach, in the forest, on the road and so on, all of which adds to the importance of Epizode Festival.
