The Return of DEEP DARK DIRTY

As Southeast Asia's underground electronic music scene is in its golden era, Manila's sees a signature house and techno event making a comeback, as the region continues to thrive on electronic dance music.

The city finally sees the return of Deep Dark Dirty on Saturday June 29th, home to its resident DJs; Alinep and Martin Lugtu, which started in 2012, hosting some of the best local, regional and international acts such as; Kenny Glasgow, K-Hand, Djuma Soundsystem, Cevin Fisher, Clive Henry, Ken Ishii, Gabriel I, Ohnishi, Tommy Wada, Sunju Hargun, Apsara, Dan Buri, Angga, Darkbark and many more.

Both resident DJs have had a huge impact on the nightlife in the Philippines and are renowned for their B2B sets ever since, with their signature deep and grooving sounds, which often go on until the sunrises.

After a 1 year hiatus, they host their first event this year at Makati's newest underground nightclub The Void, which opened its doors at the weekend during Fête De La Musique's 25th Anniversary in the Philippines.

Deep Dark Dirty features Shaun Reeves an enigmatic pioneer whose trailblazing quest to export his unique brand of cosmic underground house and techno from his hometown of Detroit to Europe and beyond has brought him international acclaim. Alongside best friends Ryan Crosson, Lee Curtiss and Seth Troxler he has helped put a warm, esoteric spin on

the city’s musical heritage taking it away from clinical minimalism, back towards warmer, more spiritual party music. Together they have formed Visionquest, a genre-busting four-piece DJ combo, live act, record label and forward-thinking school of thought.
